In the early '50s, a young army officer and a student nurse fell in love. Four decades later, they meet again by accident. Co starring Judi Dench as Jean and Geoffrey Palmer as Lionel, philip plays Alistair, Lionel's trendy young publisher who becomes a close friend of the family.

Coronation Street - Ian Davenport
Philip plays a Car Salesman Ian Davenport, along with his wife Justine and teenager daughter Gemma, comes into the street after meeting Sally
Webster when there children go to the same school. Ian gives Sally a job at Davenport Motors and they start an affair.
This isn't the first time that Philip has appeared in Coronation Street, he played Robert Weston in 1990.

Casualty -
Andrew Bower
Philip joined the cast of Casualty as Andrew, a locum consultant, also the husband of Nurse Duffy, who later in the series reveals
she's pregnant again with there third child which causes a lot of tension between them. He eventually comes round to the idea and just as they
seem to getting on really well, Andrew is killed by Tom who pushes him down some steps after taking another member of staff hostage.

Philip played Stefan Hauser, Sparks Football Coach German by birth, Stefan managed clubs around the world before being hired by Earls Park. Stefan was behind the multi-million pound signing of Italian midfielder Salvatore Biagi.
Although it seemed like a good idea in principle, it was a decision Stefan soon had reason to reflect badly on once he had his hands full trying to cope with the feud between his new signing and Sparks’ Captain, Jason Turner.
More trouble arrived for Stefan in the form of his wayward daughter, Freddie. A troubled and, at times, dangerously unstable daredevil, Freddie caused no end of concern, especially when she became romantically involved with Salvatore.
